Lovely friends,
I’ve been thinking about this idea of timelines in a really simple way lately, not in some big abstract sense, just in how life actually feels day to day. It’s more like noticing how one small choice can shift everything that comes after it, even if nothing on the outside looks different yet. I’ve caught myself a few times this week about to respond the same way I always do, and then stopping for a second and going a different direction. It’s not dramatic, but it feels different enough that I can tell something is changing.
What’s interesting is how those moments don’t feel important at first, but you can feel them later. It’s like you stayed with yourself instead of slipping back into something automatic, and that changes the tone of everything that follows. I don’t think I realized how much of my life was running on patterns until I started noticing when I wasn’t following them anymore. And once you see that, you start to understand how much power is actually in those small pauses.
I think we hear “lightwork” and it sounds bigger than it really is. For me right now, it feels a lot more grounded than that, like it’s just about being aware enough to choose what feels true in the moment. Not perfectly, not every time, just enough that you start to move differently. And when you do that, life responds in a way that’s hard to explain until you feel it yourself.
There’s also something about not needing to figure everything out ahead of time that’s been really clear for me. I don’t need to know where something is leading before I take a step, I just need to feel that it’s right in the moment I’m in. And that takes a different kind of trust than I’m used to, because it means letting go of trying to control the outcome. But every time I do it, things open in a way they wouldn’t have if I stayed where I was.
I’ve noticed too that when I make those small shifts, things around me start to move differently. Conversations go in a direction I didn’t expect, or something shows up that fits better than what I was trying to force before. It’s subtle, but it’s enough that I can’t ignore it anymore. It feels like life is meeting me in the choices I’m making instead of me trying to push everything into place.
And I think that’s where this idea of changing your “stars” actually makes sense. Not in one big moment where everything flips overnight, but in these small decisions that slowly take you in a different direction. You don’t always see it right away, but over time it becomes obvious that you’re not where you used to be. And it didn’t happen by accident, it happened because you started choosing differently.
I’ve been sitting with that this week, just letting it be simple. Not trying to turn it into something bigger than it is, just noticing where I stay with myself and where I don’t. And every time I do, I can feel that something is already shifting, even if I can’t fully explain it yet.
And honestly, that feels like enough right now.
Much love,
Lisa 💜
