Lovely friends,
Money is one of those subjects where spirituality can get weird really fast.
I absolutely believe in energy. I believe our thoughts matter, our beliefs matter, and what we expect from life can influence the choices we make. I also live in the real world where the mortgage is due, groceries cost what they cost, unexpected bills show up, and visualizing a pile of money doesn’t make the electric company say, “Never mind, Lisa, this one’s on us.”
For me, working with abundance has to include both.
I have been doing Reiki for more than twenty years, and one thing I have learned is that money can bring up a surprising amount of emotion. Fear, security, guilt, control, independence, self-worth, success, failure, responsibility, and even old family beliefs can all get tangled up with it. Sometimes we aren’t only reacting to the amount sitting in our bank account. We are reacting to everything money has come to represent for us.
That is why I wanted to create my Reiki for Financial Abundance session.
When I work with Reiki around money, I am not sending energy to magically produce a check in someone’s mailbox. I am working with the person receiving the Reiki and setting the intention around releasing some of the fear, tension, and limiting beliefs they may be carrying around money and receiving.
I also invite Archangel Raphael into my Reiki work because there can be so much emotion sitting underneath our relationship with money. I love working with Raphael’s healing energy when there is fear, old hurt, stress, or a belief that has been carried for years. I usually invite Archangel Michael in as well for grounding, protection, and courage, so there is this wonderful combination of healing what feels tender while also feeling strong enough to move forward.
I think that matters because sometimes we already know what we need to do financially. We just feel so anxious, discouraged, or overwhelmed that taking the next step feels much harder than it needs to.
Because being stressed about money changes how we feel in our bodies.
Anyone who has ever received an unexpected bill knows that feeling. Your stomach drops. Your chest gets tight. Your brain immediately starts calculating, worrying, and jumping ahead to everything that could possibly go wrong. Even after you have figured out what you’re going to do, your body can stay wound up like the emergency is still happening.
I think this is an important part of abundance work that gets overlooked.
It is difficult to feel open to possibility when your nervous system is constantly preparing for disaster. It is also harder to think clearly when fear is making every decision feel urgent. Sometimes one of the most useful things we can do before dealing with a financial problem is help ourselves get grounded enough to actually look at it.
That might mean sitting down and breathing for a few minutes before opening the bills. It might mean giving yourself Reiki before making an important financial decision. It might mean going for a walk before having a conversation about money instead of walking into it already tense and expecting a fight.
Then you deal with the numbers.
I actually think that part is spiritual too.
Looking at the bank account, making the phone call, asking the question, applying for the opportunity, changing the budget, raising your price, learning something new, or admitting that something isn’t working can all be part of working with abundance. Spirit can guide us toward opportunities, but we still have to notice them and participate.
Receiving is another part of this that fascinates me.
We talk a lot about wanting more abundance, but receiving can feel surprisingly uncomfortable. Someone offers help and we immediately say we are fine. An opportunity appears and we decide we probably aren’t qualified. We think about charging appropriately for our work and suddenly every insecurity we have ever had joins the conversation.
Sometimes there is a belief underneath all of that.
Maybe we learned that money is always hard to come by. Maybe we associate having more with being selfish. Maybe we believe we have to exhaust ourselves before we have earned anything good. Maybe we are wonderful at giving and become extremely uncomfortable when the energy starts coming back toward us.
Those are the kinds of things I like bringing into Reiki.
I don’t need to sit there and argue with every belief I’ve ever picked up about money. Sometimes I simply notice one and decide I don’t want to keep feeding it. I can place my hands over my heart or solar plexus, allow the Reiki to flow, breathe, and give my body a chance to soften while I consider a different possibility.
I might ask myself, “What would I do differently if I felt safe enough to believe there could be another way?”
I like that question because it can lead somewhere practical.
Maybe I finally send the email. Maybe I look into the job. Maybe I put something I created up for sale. Maybe I ask for what I am worth. Maybe I cancel something I don’t use anymore. Maybe I sit down with the numbers instead of avoiding them because I am afraid of what they will say.
That is where abundance starts becoming part of everyday life for me.
Archangel Michael is also someone I naturally bring into this work. Money fear can make us feel very ungrounded, and Michael’s energy has always felt steady and protective to me. I will ask him to help clear fear around me, strengthen my courage, and help me stay grounded enough to make decisions from a clearer place.
Then I leave room for Spirit to surprise me.
I think we sometimes become so specific about how abundance has to arrive that we overlook other doors opening around us. The answer may come through a new client, a job opportunity, an idea, a conversation, a resource we didn’t know existed, a bill being lower than expected, or simply realizing there is something we can change.
This is also where I think manifestation works best in my own life. I can be clear about what I would love to create, work with the energy around it, ask Spirit for guidance, and then pay attention to what shows up. I still use common sense. I still make practical decisions. I still have to take action when an opportunity appears.
My new Reiki for Financial Abundance | Release Money Blocks & Open to Receiving distance healing session was created around all of this.
It is about thirty minutes, and there is nothing you need to actively do while receiving it. You can lie down, meditate, listen before sleep, or simply get comfortable and allow yourself to receive. I send Reiki with the intention of supporting your highest and greatest good while working around beliefs connected with lack, limitation, worthiness, receiving, confidence, and financial flow.
You can also come back to the recording whenever money starts feeling heavy again. I especially like the idea of using it before sitting down to work on finances, making a financial decision, working on a new opportunity, or doing manifestation work. Give yourself the Reiki first, let some of the tension settle, and then see how differently you approach whatever is in front of you.
And please still look at the numbers.
Reiki can support us. Spirit can guide us. Our beliefs can change. Our nervous system can become calmer. Then we get to take all of that into the very human business of creating a life that feels safer, fuller, and more supported.
That is my kind of abundance work.
